The Shape of My Brain (2)

£100.00

A unique, hand-built ceramic abstract sculpture, like a line in pencil on paper. which plays with the idea of lateral thinking, and how that could take form and shape as a sculpture.

This work came from a perspective of learning and playing around with creating architectural shapes. Calling it the ‘Shape of My Brain’ came very naturally. When I was making the work I was drawing lots of these curved shapes.

Stepping away from the work I now see it can also refer to the way that I think, which doesn’t feel like straight lines and refers to my thought process. If you could see what shape it would take, it would be a wiggly line.

This unique clay body is hand built from stoneware clay, fired to bisque and glazed in the colour of porcelain white.
